Real-life lessons

Holocaust survivor Arnold Van Den Berg spoke to eighth grade students at Hudson Bend Middle School about his trying childhood.  Mr. Van Den Berg shared stories about how his parents overcame the violence and discrimination during and after World War II.

“Our eighth graders have been studying The Diary of Anne Frank and Night, and Arnold’s special, inspiring presentation was an unforgettable capstone lesson to the Holocaust unit in Language Arts,” HBMS Language Arts/Teen Leadership teacher Mo O’Brien stated.
