Working with charities like the Lake Travis Crisis Ministries, LTlov, Partners in Hope and the Spicewood Crisis Ministries, the Lake Travis High School National Honor Society (NHS) has adopted 11 local families for the holiday season.
On November 25, NHS members assembled baskets filled with meals consisting of turkey and all the trimmings. Upon delivery of the baskets, each family was encouraged to provide a personal wish list to include holiday decorations, gifts and food items that the students could fulfill during the upcoming winter break.
More than 280 members of the Lake Travis High School NHS program are involved in the project. LTHS teachers Jennifer Gidley, Kathryn Knox and Elizabeth Stark are co-sponsor of the NHS program.
