Dear West Cypress Hills Elementary School Parents and Guardians,
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of my resignation effective June 28, 2016. A recent health scare has prompted much reflection and consideration for taking better care of myself. I have been presented with an opportunity to work alongside my husband in the healthcare recruiting field, and this job will offer me the flexibility of working remotely so that I can focus on my health, family and my precious new grandbaby.
Serving West Cypress Hills Elementary School has been an honor and privilege. Thank you for working with me to build this school community into a warm, caring and loving environment for students to reach their fullest potential. Be assured that I have every confidence in the district to find the best fit for our school’s leadership team. After 30 years in education where kids and learning have been my passion, I still find it very difficult to end this chapter in my life. Thank you for allowing me to serve our community the past two years. I will forever hold West Cypress Hills Elementary close to my heart. This is still my home community and hope to see our past and present students flourishing for years to come.
Julie Richards, Principal
