LTHS earns first 6A football State Title, sixth overall

The Lake Travis Cavaliers beat The Woodlands 41-13 in the UIL 6A - Division I high school football state championship game played December 17, 2016 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, earning the school its sixth state title since 2007.  

Senior quarterback Charlie Brewer was selected as the high school player of the year by the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors. Brewer threw 56 touchdown passes, two interceptions and had a completion percentage of 0.772, breaking a national record listed by the National Federation of High School Associations.

Hank Carter is head coach of the Cavaliers, a position he's held since 2010.  During his tenure, Coach Carter has led his teams to three state championships and an overall record of 91-10.  He was named the 2016 All -Central Texas Football Coach of the Year.
