Johnny Hill, Lake Travis ISD Assistant Superintendent for Business, Financial and Auxiliary Services, is pleased to announce the selection of Angela Marsh as the district’s new Director of Purchasing, effective Jan. 10, 2018.
Ms. Marsh possesses more than 20 years of work experience in business services and procurement. A graduate of McCallum High School, she began her career in 1985 as an administrative assistant for Corporate Risk Counselors in Austin. In 1988, Ms. Marsh joined the Texas Department of Human Services where she served first as an office assistant and then as a purchaser. In 2000, she served as program coordinator for the University of Notre Dame Career Center in Indiana. Most recently, Ms. Marsh served as purchasing manager for the Round Rock Independent School District, a position she’s held since 2002. She is a Certified Texas School Business Official (CTSBO).
“Taking into account our recently-approved bond referendum, I am confident Angie’s vast experience in purchasing will serve our district well,” said Mr. Hill. “We welcome Angie to the Lake Travis ISD family and look forward to her contributions.”
As Director of Purchasing for Lake Travis ISD, Ms. Marsh will be responsible for directing and managing the purchasing, contracting, and distribution activities of the district. Specifically, she will administer procedures to process bids, proposals, and purchases for goods, services, construction, renovations, food services, benefits, and insurance; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; and supervise the daily activities of the purchasing department, distribution center, and copy center.
Ms. Marsh replaces Ed Wooten who in September was named Executive Director for Procurement Services at Dallas ISD.
