LPE Student Council Raises $2,200 for Collin's Hope

The Lake Pointe Elementary School Student Council raised $2,268.54 for Colin's Hope by hosting the 5th Annual Hope Floats Craft Fair in April.

Colin’s Hope was formed in 2008 after four-year-old Colin Holst tragically drowned in a public pool. The organization's mission is to raise water safety awareness to prevent children from drowning.

Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for children under 5 and a leading cause for ages 1-14. While no one is ‘drown proof,’ drowning is preventable.
